I wasn't sure if people would want to read about this but I ran a poll on twitter and I got 5 'YES' (thanks friends). Anyways, I don't think a lot of you would know what Airbnb is about so I'm gonna explain it to you.
Basically, it's like a site where you can book homes for you to stay in. You can either book a room or a whole house. I think the concept itself is really great because anyone who is anyone can rent out their house/room. You know how hotels are so damn pricey and if they're are in a strategic location, the price goes through the roof. I'm sure that some of us are guilty of this, exceeding the people staying in one hotel room.
To me, Airbnb homes are freaking amazing because they come at an affordable price and the places you stay are really really nice. There are downsides, for example, no housekeeping in between days you're staying and some safety issues. I'm not saying they are better than hotels (they might be for me bc im cheap), but if you're under budget and want somewhere cosy to stay on your vacay, then you can consider Airbnb.
So, before I came to Kedah, I stayed at Penang for a few days with my family and my boyfriend. I booked an Airbnb home near Gurney, the condo is called Mansion One (it's right beside Gleneagles Penang).

Yeps, that's Starbucks hehe. Anyways, the lobby was like a hotel because it had white marble which pleases my inner soul.
Me, my boyfriend (his name is Michael haha) and my sister arrived at the bus station at around 2pm and we called an Uber. After around 30 minutes of jamming, we reached. The host was already there waiting for us, so we carried our luggage up to the house. Here are some pictures of the place:

Soz for the poor quality pictures but you can check more pictures at the actual site on Airbnb by clicking the picture above! (the HOME one)
The place was about 10 minutes drive to Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. It's also walking distance to a hawker centre that sells 'okay' food. Better food is found beside Gurney Plaza. By the way, when we arrived, we told the host that we didn't eat lunch and he offered to drive us to a place that sells really nice Asam Laksa. He didn't need to do that but he was soooo kind.
You know me, I like to talk about the price because I'm a cheap Asian aunty hehe. The price fluctuates often so when I booked it, it was Rm 190 per night for 5 people. But with the cleaning fees and service fee, it's about Rm 184.60 per person and Rm 46.15 for a night!
BUT WAIT I HAD A DISCOUNT, GUYS LIFE HACK HERE THAT CAN SAVE YOU MONEY : I invited my mom with my Airbnb account, then I use hers to book. With that I got Rm 106 off!!! Then in my account, I have credits (which is money when I book another trip) After that, it's Rm 40.8 per night for a person!!

To checkout, we just put the keys into the mailbox and left. My parents were really pleased and was especially happy for the money they saved huehue. Actually this is not my first time staying at an Airbnb home, the first time I didn't even realized because my sister booked everything. The Airbnb in Italy, Paris and Venice were okay but not the best because we were under budget for travelling to sooo many places. But some of them included breakfast!! The second time was when me, my boyfriend and a bunch of friends went to KL after SPM. It was walking distance to the touristy spot so it was great!
I just realized that I post once a month only but I can't really write anything when the line here is crap ;(((( I'll try to write more guys!! Thank you to all the readers out there! You have no idea how happy I get when you tell me that you read my blog, I'm close to tears when you tell me you like it <3.
