WOOHOO I'm back in my hometown! I went for a facial I bought through Fave. It was previously known as Groupon, a place where you can buy coupon to get up to 90% off on diningš±, beauty and wellnessš§š½āāļø, fitnessšš½āāļø, travelāļø and more.
Actually me and my mom planned to go together, so we looked for a deal that is for 2 people so it would be more worth it. So, we went for this deal titled
" 2 Hour Hydrating/ De-Pigmentation / Balancing Facial for 2 People ".

You can check it out here: https://myfave.com/kota-kinabalu/blessing-beauty-care-kota-kinabalu-2-hour-hydrating-depigmentation-balancing-modeling-facial-for-two-2-people-47918ā

The place is called Blessings and it is located on the first floor of Plaza 333, near IHOPP cafe. We made an appointment at 4pm and the whole thing finished at 6pm. We were put into seperate rooms and we both got different beauticians. My beautician was really chatty except for the mask part, she kept talking to me which I felt was nice but I know some of you would think that it's your chill time and would rather not communicate at the moment.
Originally, it retails for RM 288 but when you buy through Fave, it is for RM 88. On fave, it says that the package includes:
-Jasmine tea servingāļø
-Skin consultationšš½āāļø
-Double cleansingāš¼
-Scrubšš¼
-Steamāļø
-Extractionš
-Eyebrow trimšš¼āāļø
-Machine treatmentš½
-Face massagešš¼āāļø
-Modelling maskš»
-Toner applicationš“
-Sunblock applicationš
REVIEW: my part that liked about it the most was the extraction part. HOLD UP, it hurt like hell, but I felt like she did a good job in clearing up my pits of excess sebum with bacteria. I legitimately shed a tear because it hurt a lot because apparently I āpushedā the pimple further in my skin because I meddled with it so she had to GET INTO IT to squeeze it out. Overall, she did a clean job with extracting my pimples.
TIP #1: donāt pick your pimples! Itāll only leave scars and lengthen the healing process.
My beautician was very keen in selling add-ons, like she asked me to top up RM 20 for some ampoule that I vaguely agreed and apparently my mom topped up RM 88 too. After the facial, the beautician introduce my mom this high tech facial thing which costs 900 bucks ERHEM CRAZY . She was quite pushy about it but was still quite polite? (This is often happens whenever you buy a facial deal from groupon/fave, Iām not sure if it happens in regular facials)
My facial costed RM 64 whereas my momās was RM 132. To be honest, to me, it is really pricey because we thought it was a steal but ya gotta be careful with them beauticianās tactics!!
OVERALL RATING: āļø 3.8/5
It was a pleasant experience but when you consider the price and the awkwardness when you got to reject someone, I would probably choose somewhere else šš»āāļø
